Today we did an amazing job with our reading and writing. We talked about using the strategy of chunking (looking for little pieces) to help us solve longer words. We also explored what happens when we mix the colours red, yellow and blue in different combinations.
We also started home reading! Please take time each night to read for 10-15 minutes with your child. We are having the students use the IPICK chart below to choose a book that is right for them. They have the choice to keep the book for as long as they need it but we would recommend changing at least once a week. Students should each have a folder in their bag with a book in it. This folder will also be used for notices so please always return it to your child's backpack.
