Our last day together before the holidays was busy! Earlier in the week we created our own Elf on the Shelf; and renamed it Mys"elf" on the Shelf! They got into some classroom supplies (as all good and mischievous elves do!) Enjoy! On behalf of the Sarahs we'd like to thank our students and their families for their generosity towards us for the holiday season. We wish you all a safe and happy holiday with friends and family! Merry Christmas everyone and we'll see you at 8:25 on Tuesday January 9th, 2018!

![]() Today was a bittersweet day for Mrs. Slot's class because Elizabeth, one of our grade two students, is moving to the Philippines with her family. This is very exciting, but sad for us because WE WILL MISS HER! This is our class waving good-bye and wishing her a Merry Christmas and wonderful adventure! Bye Elizabeth!
There were festive hats galore on show today at school! Have a look: Tomorrow is TACKY CHRISTMAS SWEATER DAY! Thursday is Pajama Day and is the last day of classes. We finish at 3:00pm.
Happy Monday everybody! The snow is helping with our holiday mood! We enjoyed a whole school caroling event in the gym this morning. Tomorrow is FESTIVE HAT DAY! (or crazy a hat; if that's your fancy.) Don't forget that Thursday is the last day of classes. We finish at 3:00pm.
Congratulations to the choir for two wonderful performances! We are so proud of all of you :) Next week we have some spirit days: Tuesday is Festive Hat Day Wednesday is Ugly Sweater/Festive Sweater/Red&Green Day Thursday is Pajama Day! Thursday is the last day of classes before the winter break. School ends at 3:00pm on that day. The choir's matinee performance this afternoon was AWESOME!!! Please remember that choir members must return to the school for 6:00pm tonight. They should proceed to the Music Room to ready themselves for the 6:30pm performance. Break a leg, boys and girls!
***Parents, could you please ask your children to wear their winter coats when playing outside for recess? We teachers request that they dress for the weather, and many do; but it was 2 degrees today and many had their coats off on the noon-hour recess. We just worry about them getting sick or unwell. Thanks for the help! The choir will perform at 1:30pm in the gym for the matinee performance tomorrow. All the students will attend as an audience. If you still require tickets, please see the office staff as they are in charge of tickets sales. **Scalped ticket will not be accepted haha ;)
The evening performance is at 6:30pm tomorrow night. Choir students are to go to the music room for 6:00pm. The choir did a wonderful job at TMC this morning and wowed the crowd with their voices and behaviour! We're so proud of you all! Way to go everybody! The children who remained at Eric Harvie completed our work on the Eric Harvie Who-ville door decorating activity. Our efforts can be seen as you enter through the gym's main doors. Once again, our students did a fantastic job! Mrs. Day and Mrs. Slot are so proud of your hard work!!! Please continue to send in your Families Helping Families Donations. Once again we say THANK YOU for your generosity! Please take a look at Mrs. Coulson's Blog on the link's below for information regarding the choir performances. http://ehsmusic1.weebly.com/choir

Please check out our Eric Harvie Whos. Today's was Miss Mowat's last day with us. She is back to school next week. Miss Mowat was wonderful to have in the classroom and will be missed.
Ask your child about the joke of the week. We all had a good chuckle :) We look forward to seeing you all this afternoon or tomorrow. The students are excited to show their work. Once again it is the time of year when the families of Eric Harvie show their kindness and generosity by helping families in Calgary's northeast. We will be supporting children and their parents from Colonel J. Fred Scott School so that they may enjoy the holiday season.
